This book is about a British boy called Ash Mistry who goes on a trip to India with his sister Lucky and archaeologist uncle for the summer holidays. When his uncle gets offered a job to interpret a long-lost language, all is not as it seems...
Soon Ash and his sister are in a desperate battle between between humans and demons that can take human form. Can he prevent the freeing of a truly evil monster that as been locked away for thousands of years?
I really enjoyed this book because it had loads of unexpected turns and twists and never got boring - I could tell you more but it may give away the story for you. It is also a new style of book for me because its based on a myth - the myth of Ramayana - the story of Rama, Sita and Ravana - the greatest Indian story. I enjoyed it very much.
