My Parents Are Out Of Control by Pete Johnson- review

NeonMimi: 'In this book, the writing was so realistic that I would not change anything at all.'

This book was quite funny and I really liked it. It is about a boy called Edgar and his dad, who has a new boss for his work. The boss is very cool, so Edgar's parents want to be cool too. Just before Edgar thought it couldn't get any worse, his mum and dad start saying words like " sick" and " ace", so he comes up with a plan.

I really liked this book, because it had a mixture of comedy, seriousness and facts (but only a few). In this book, the writing was so realistic that I would not change anything at all. My scoring out of 10 would be 9 1/2. I liked all the funny parts, because they weren't just funny, they were silly too. I also liked the way all the characters had a good sense of humour.

I think this book is suitable for children from 8-11 years of age. The book is for boys and girls.
