When I was sent this book and I read the description, I wasn't so sure about it. I didn't really warm to the idea of the whole "finding her real biological father" thing, but as soon as I read the first page I was hooked and knew I would never be able to put it down. And I was right.
This story is about a girl called Madison who sets out to find her father, an anonymous sperm donor, and finds him sooner than she thinks. It turns out he's a journalist for the extremely popular newspaper The Examiner and he's doing a report about missing girls and a successful businessman, named Declan Baxter.
After a visit to a circus-themed party, Madison snaps up two new friends (stuttering Wolf and super-stylish Esme Baxter, the daughter of Declan Baxter) and gets tangled up in the story, getting herself in more and more danger each step of the way.
I absolutely LOVED everything about this book - the action, the drama and even the romance.
My favourite character is definitely Wolf, due to the fact he will do anything to make Madison happy and be with her.
I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of ten, who can understand the plot, and would give it 4 out of 5.
