Desert Angel by Charlie Price- review

ABitCrazy: 'It just wasn't my thing and I didn't enjoy it. But I hope that some people will.'

When Angela Ann Daley- known as Angel- wakes up from sleeping outside her caravan her Mum's missing and her boyfriend Scotty is no where to be seen, she decides to go and try and find her Mum. When Angel does find her Mum, her Mum is dead with all her jewelery and everything taken off.

Scotty isn't the kind of person you want to be hanging out with. Scotty catches and sells tortoises and eagles for quick money he also sells guns and drugs, and he was also the one who killed Angel's Mum. Angel knows that Scotty's going to try and find her and kill her before she can tell the police but when she finds a few houses, she finds a nice family that help her out but that's also putting them all in danger anyone of them could be killed. And Angel thinks it's best to run away.

On the back of Desert Angel, it makes it out like she's stuck in the middle of the desert with no food and no water and whilst dehydrating and starving to death, she's also got to hide from Scotty. That is not what this book actually is after, about the third chapter she's staying with a family that are willing to help her find Scotty and put him to justice.

I was very disappointed with this book as it wasn't what it said it was on the back - they made it sound so much better, what it said on the back was actually the kind of book I like to read but when the book finished it wasn't what I expected or the kind of book I particularly like to read- it was just a big disappointment. . .

It wasn't very good for what it actually was either. I mean I've read lots of books that haven't been what I expected, but in a better way like they're some of my favourite books. I don't think I could read this again.

It wasn't exciting, it didn't leave you desperate to find out what happened next, it was too obvious, and it was all a bit dull. I don't think I would read a book again by the same author if they release more books. It just wasn't my thing and I didn't enjoy it. But I hope that some people will.
