This is an extremely famous classic about racism in southern states of America and how hard life was for Tom Robinson and his friends and family.
It is a very moving book which cuts deeply into your feelings and thoughts. It has a great, emotional ending that you only get in a good book. It shows that it had a great, well planned plot.
The story tells of what other people's lives are like and just because people are different they shouldn't get treated differently. The courtroom scene is my favourite as it is an amazing example of a typical courtroom scene. The emotion that seems to well from the audience brings tears to the eyes, like a tsunami wave of emotion. The single sentence at the end (from my point of view, the most emotional one) shows just how powerful a simple sentence can be: "Atticus would be there all night, and he would be there when Jem waked up in the morning".
