This utterly amazing book is set in a traditional farmyard in the countryside. Hannah is the main character. She's passionate about drama and loves writing, performing and directing plays.
Hannah is an excellent example of a main character in my opinion because she is also really strong and is there for her family. She always manages to solve problems, make things right and sort everything out in the end. Hannah lives in the farmhouse with her dad, sisters Jo and Martha, and little brother Sam.
The book is all about the problems the family is facing when trying to pay the farm rent. Hannah and her best friend Lottie set up a small family theatre in a long abandoned, hidden poultry shed. They enter a performing competition and compete against their rival, the hateful and snobby Miranda. With many other problems for the farm to face, this book had me gripped. It's an incredible book, full of detail and written very well. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially people who like theatre, aged 11-13 years old.
