Feyre (pronounced fay-ruh) hunts to keep her family alive. After her mother died and she made a promise to look after her father and two sisters, her father lost all their money and now they live in a peasant’s cottage, the lowest of the low.
However, things are about to get worse for Feyre, she kills a wolf thinking that it’s her lucky day, but then a faerie comes to their house demanding that she is brought to justice. She’s offered a choice; to be killed, or to live out the rest of her days in the faerie realms of Prythian. Feyre chooses to live in the faerie realms, but not only does she not realise how different the faeries are to the tales she used to hear, but also that the faerie lands aren’t as safe as she thought, for more reasons than one...
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! It was sooooooooo amazing! It was written so beautifully and was full of plot twists that kept me hooked. The characters weren’t predictable, but they were vivid like Maas’ other books and I loved it so much.
I recommend this book to people who like romance books, but also don’t mind some blood and gore because some parts of the book are quite graphic in descriptions of deaths and torture.
