Potterhead 103

The History Keepers: The Nightship to China by Damian Dibben – review

Potterhead 103 'I recommend this to anybody who loves history, action, adventure and a little romance all mixed together in one book, with a lot of tension added in!'

This book is the third in The History Keepers series and is set a year after the events of Circus Maximus. The story starts with the wedding of Rose Djones and Jupitus Cole. The wedding is interrupted when Oceane Noire's pet lioness runs wild. When things seem like they can't get any worse, an SOS is sent out by Fredrik Isaksen. He brings devastating news to the agency resulting in a mission to Jacobean London – led by Topaz who is accompanied by Nathan and Jake.

They discover a message from Phillip, Jake's brother, which leads to the keepers taking the nightship to Canton in China. When Commander Galliana Goethe saves Jake and Topaz, it is the final battle for Goethe and Xiang. The Djones are finally united, but will their happiness be short lived?

I really enjoyed this book because history is something I find really interesting and obviously it plays a large part in this series. The History Keepers keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through and, as usual, Damian Dibben has left the book on a cliff-hanger.

I recommend this to anybody who loves history, action, adventure and a little romance all mixed together in one book, with a lot of tension added in!
