Framed! (Traces) by Malcolm Rose – review

Ethan – Millennium RIOT Readers: 'I would recommend this book to any reader who likes mysteries or investigations and it is quite an easy book to read'

Luke is a forensic investigator – the youngest ever in fact. He is put on his first case where a student has been shot and killed with an arrow. As Luke starts to investigate with MALC (Mobile Aid to Law & Crime) two more murders occur. Unfortunately as evidence piles up it looks as if Luke himself could be the murderer and he sets out to prove his innocence.

The best thing about this book is that there is no clear suspect which makes the story a huge mystery which keeps you guessing. Luke is my favourite character who likes – despite the seriousness of his job – to pull a joke every so often. MALC sometimes gives stupid answers to Luke's questions which is funny. The book ends with them finding and arresting the criminal using a very well thought-out tactic which I really liked.

I would recommend this book to any reader who likes mysteries or investigations and it is quite an easy book to read. I give the book 4/5 stars as I really liked it and am looking forward to reading the next one.
