War Dog is a tragic story about many courageous soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and one of them has a loyal dog named Charlie.

Charlie was a sniffer dog, and his owner was Sam, the pair of them were best friends... Until the day they walked out onto the open ground. Will they be ok?
The story is written in first person and is quite interesting to see what the war is like from a person's point of view.

However, the book was very small and easy to read. I did enjoy it but would like a more challenging read.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the Afghanistan war or loves reading about tragedies or dog stories.
