Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce- review

Pheebz: 'I really enjoyed this book because it is funny, although some of the humour is more American than English'

Big Nate is a collection of cartoon strips telling the story of a boy called Nate. He has two friends, Terry and Francis. Francis is a bit of a geek and has already started revising for the school exams, which annoys Nate because he thinks that studying is a waste of time! Worse than that, Francis is revising with Gina, another geek. Gina hates Nate and thinks he's an idiot! Nate isn't really an idiot, it is just that he would rather spend his time drawing comics!

I really enjoyed this book because it is funny, although some of the humour is more American than English. I also think that some of the jokes are more for adults because they are making fun of what children say!

By the way, this book is just one of a whole collection of books about Big Nate, so you may prefer to read the earlier books before reading this one.
