Ok, so I'm going to say it outright: I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I have a soft spot for mystery stories, and although I'm not a horse-loving person, the story is un-put-down-able! St John really brings her characters to life, and you really get to know them well. I've read the Laura Marlin Mysteries so far, and I really enjoyed them, but this was even better! I'll definitely be reading the next in the series, coming out in 2014. Also, don't be put off if you're not a horse lover; I wasn't but I sure do like them now!
The book is about a girl who has just won Badminton and is about to go to the prestigious Kentucky Three Day Event on her beloved horse, Storm, when her Dad is arrested. Casey is convinced that he didn't commit the crime and soon becomes the target of a spooky blackmailer. Also, Storm is behaving strangely and she needs the help of her farrier boyfriend to help her win Kentucky, but she just doesn't know who to trust...
I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries, and also anyone who likes horses!
