Sylvanians

The Tales of Olga Da Polga by Michael Bond – review

Sylvanians: 'This book is about a guinea pig called Olga Da Polga who has lots of adventures'

This book is about a guinea pig called Olga Da Polga who has lots of adventures. A girl called Karen Sawdust buys Olga from a pet shop and Olga lives in the garden in a cage and makes friends with a hedgehog and Karen's cat.

Olga has lots of different adventures and my favourite one was the sugar plum guinea pig chapter. It was when Olga couldn't walk because she had had a really bad accident, so Karen brought Olga inside the house and it was the first time Olga had ever seen a television! She watched some ballet and Olga loved it so much, she started to daydream she was dancing. When she opened her eyes she saw that she was standing on her legs!

I liked this book because of all the exciting adventures Olga Da Polga has and the writer made Olga so real. I recommend this book for children over 6 years old.
