I just finished reading Russell Troy, Monster Boy. I'd say this was for seven- to eight-year-olds because the language was a bit simple for me. Despite that, I liked the plot and it had several funny areas! There is a whole series of the books but most people my age (11) probably wouldn't bother with any of them as they aren't long enough. I finished it in about 10 minutes.
